I am running a successful free-lance personal training business in Chelsea , London and weight loss/holistic retreats in Europe. The TRX is the first portable and complete exercise system I have ever come across. It is a truly functional training tool. Your body is worked in all three planes of motion, your stabilizers and core are always switched on and strengthened and all movement patterns are used. The exercises range from static/isometric posture exercises to dynamic power moves for the more advanced athlete.
I use it with every client of mine from the older housewives to the ultra fit. The brilliance behind TRX is simple: the difficulty level can be adjusted to where you place your body. The eccentric movements are worked fully unlike with free weights. Since I spend my day cycling to visit my clients, I do not want to carry anything heavy. The TRX is light and takes virtually no space in my backpack. I've used it over doors in my clients homes, hotel room doors and over goal posts and trees outside. When I pack for our retreats, I can easily take 5-10 TRXs in my suitcase for our participants and not even pay a penny for the extra luggage! That can't be done with any other cumbersome equipment. |
Free weights, cables and stability balls are all excellent tools, but the TRX has challenged my muscles from a completely new “angle” that I have not felt before. My fitness will always keep improving with the TRX because there are over 300 exercises and each can be progressed as may yours to a fitter body faster.. |
